With Mid-State's MilleBen employers in Massachusetts can offer payroll deduction for homeowners and auto insurance to your employees.  Historically, opportunities such as the MilleBen program have been reserved for companies with 500 or more employees.  Mid-State's MilleBen program gives the small to medium sized employer the chance to provide large company advantages to its employees.  Take advantage of MilleBen to add value to your relationship with your employees.

What is MilleBen?

MilleBen is a service you provide to your employees.  It allows employees to purchase and pay for their homeowners and car insurance polices directly through the plan.

Do our employees receive any discounts for signing up with MilleBen?

Yes.  Once your group is approved by the insurance company and the State your employees will receive a discount on their Massachusetts auto policy.  It is also possible for them to receive an additional discount on their Homeowners policy if it is with the same carrier.

Is there a difference between how our employees pay for insurance now and MilleBen?

Yes.  Currently they pay a deposit of up to 30% and the balance in eight installments subject to interest.

Under MilleBen they will have equal payments over a 12 month period with no down payment, no interest charges, and payments will be automatically deducted from their pay check.

Is everyone automatically eligible for MilleBen simply by being an employee?

Yes, but they must be a full time employee (minimum 30 hours) and have worked as your employee for more than one year.

How can we be sure that our employees are getting a good deal from the Insurance Company?

Mid-State's MilleBen representatives will electronically price all home policies with up to six companies to ensure the best value.  Automobile insurance rates are set by the State.  However, under this program participants will receive a discount off of the State rates.  Out of state residents are not eligible for credit, but can still have all payments payroll deducted through MilleBen.
