Five Star Award of Distinction
Mid-State Insurance Agency, Inc. has received the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA) Five Star designation. The Five Star Program recognizes the agency's achievement at being one of the best at providing superior knowledge, service and value.
The Five Star designation is awarded only to agencies that pass a comprehensive fitness review that compares an agency's performance to the "best practices" model in the following areas:
- Customer Focus
- Management / Leadership
- Human Resources
- Process
- Products and Services

Mid-State Insurance Agency, Inc. was named a 2007 Best Practices Agency by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA).
More than 800 independent agencies throughout the US were nominated to take part in the annual study, but only 195 agencies qualified for the honor. To be chosen, an agency must rank as a top performer in their respective revenue category and must meet stringent criteria based on outstanding customer service, growth, stability, and financial management. The agency was nominated by either an IIABA affiliated state association or an insurance company and qualified based on its operational excellence.
The Best Practices Study was initiated by IIABA in 1993 as the foundation for efforts to improve agency performance. The annual survey and study of leading independent insurance agencies documents the business practices of the "best" agencies and urges others to adopt similar practices. "We are proud to have been selected as one of the 2007 Best Practices agencies and we are proud of our employees and their degree of knowledge and professionalism," said James Pietro, CIC and president of Mid-State. |
